On April 23, the 1,836th Worldwide Blood Drive to Give Life Through the Love of the Passover was held at the Church of God in Sangha, Yongin, Korea. About 400 people attended the event, including members from the Gyeonggi Southeast Church Region, covering Yongin, Gwangju, Hanam, and Icheon, as well as representatives from the political, educational, and medical sectors.

The blood drive was organized to help stabilize the local blood supply and share the love of the Passover through the life-saving act of blood donation. Supported by the Gyeonggi Blood Center of the Korean Red Cross, the event began at 9:00 a.m. and continued until 3:30 p.m. Following the guidance of medical staff, participants completed electronic health questionnaires and blood tests before boarding blood donation buses stationed in the church parking lot. After donating blood, they also donated their blood donation certificates, hoping they would be used to help patients in need of transfusions. A total of 146 people successfully donated blood, with the amount of donated blood reaching approximately 55,440 mL.

Kim Han-gyu, Director of the Gyeonggi Blood Center, expressed his gratitude, saying, “Thank you for participating in blood donation at a time when blood supplies are insufficient. Those of you who save lives through blood donation are heroes.” Oh Mi-jin, a church member from Yongin, who made her twenty-first blood donation that day, said, “I remember when my child received a blood transfusion while sick. Having realized how precious blood is, I hope everyone will take part in saving lives.”
