On May 31, 70 members of ASEZ, the Church of God University Student Volunteer Group, from Instituto de Educación Superior Tecnológico Público “4 de Junio de 1821” (IESTP) in Peru, along with local residents, cleaned up the banks of the Amojú River in Jaén. They collected a total of 40 kg of waste, including discarded plastic and other debris. The activity was carried out as part of the “Global Blue Carbon Ecosystem Protection Initiative 2026.” José Lizardo Tapia Díaz, Mayor of the Provincial Municipality of Jaén, visited the site and encouraged the participants.
