Those who are healthy are likely to neglect their health care. Since they have no particular part that is sore, they blindly trust their health and may suddenly face a disease just like a bolt from the blue. In actuality, those who looked healthy get ill all of a sudden.
On the contrary, those who are weak take great care of their health. Because they know that they are weak, if possible, they avoid the habits that are bad for health, and make efforts to stay physically fit, taking healthy food.
“. . . I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me” 2 Co 12:9
The reason the Apostle Paul boasted about his weakness was because he could always rely on God without becoming arrogant. If he had had nothing lacking and had been qualified in everything, he would have become arrogant for the great grace given by God and suffered from fatal spiritual disease rather than a physical disease.
Everyone has his weak point. However, if we make use of our weakness as the weapon called humility, we can easily defeat our enemy, arrogance. Let us be glad to be weak, and frequently meet God who works when we are weak.
