Finding Our Brothers and Sisters Appointed for Eternal Life
Genevieve M. Joaquin from Iloilo, Philippines

On my way with a sister to do something, my eyes met a lady’s eyes. We stopped at her unexpected question.
“Are you preaching?”
She seemed longing for our truth. We stopped everything and started talking with her. She seemed very curious, when we told her that we were from the Church of God and that we were preaching about Heavenly Mother.
Even her husband, who was repairing their house, seemed interested, so we began to let them know the Bible on the spot. Both of them were very amazed when they understood about the existence of Heavenly Mother, the importance of the Passover, and the blessing of the Sabbath day, which are the secrets of the Bible. They said they attended a church for a long time but their spiritual thirst was never quenched.
Right away, they decided to come to our Church of God. They were happy to know the Savior who came to save them, and accepted the new name. “Now we’re confident to enter the kingdom of heaven since we’ve met Heavenly Father and Mother,” they said excitedly.
In particular, Sister Rhodilly’s belief in the truth was great. When her previous pastor visited her and asked her why she’d stopped coming to his church, she sternly answered that she no longer wanted to worship the sun-god; and even all kinds of harsh words could not shake her.
“No matter what you tell me, it’s useless. I’ve already realized Christ. I believe the truth and all the records of the Bible and I will follow the prophecies of the Bible.”
She told me of what she had said at the debate that day. Her voice was full of conviction. It was just amazing.
Since she realized the truth, she hasn’t stopped preaching. Not only did she lead her family but she also led her acquaintances’ families to Zion just in a month. When she faced great trials, she didn’t complain but rather gave thanks to Heavenly Father and Mother for granting her the training for refinement and encouraged her husband. They are piling up many blessings in Zion and growing in faith. I have no doubt that they will be great gospel workers.
Seeing them, I’ve realized once again that God truly fulfills what the Bible says and brings the miracle of the gospel. We just don’t know it but there are many souls who are appointed for eternal life in the world (Ac 13:47–48). Therefore, we should “go and make disciples of all nations” (Mt 28:19–20) and preach to everyone we meet. Then some day, we will meet our heavenly family members like Sister Rhodilly and her husband. In order to enjoy that happiness, today too, I’m energetically stepping forward to do the gospel.
