The Church of God
is established by God
The Church of God was established by the Second Coming Christ Ahnsahnghong, in the Republic of Korea, at the ends of the earth in the east, in 1964. The name “Church of God” originates from the Bible (1 Co 1:2; Gal 1:13). The name signifies that it is the “church established by God,” and the “church whose owner is God.” Under God’s blessing, the Church has grown to have over 3.7 million members, in nearly 7,500 churches, throughout 175 countries–all within only half a century. It is carrying out missionary work and volunteer services worldwide with the goal of preaching the good news of salvation and happiness to all people.
The Church of God believes in God the Father and God the Mother according to the Bible
The Bible, which God has given us for our salvation, testifies about both God the Father and God the Mother (Mt 6:9; Gal 4:26). We follow the examples of God the Father and God the Mother who love, serve, and sacrifice for all humankind.
The Church of God keeps and preaches the New Covenant established by Jesus
Two thousand years ago, Jesus Christ established and kept the New Covenant–the perfect truth that can saves all humankind. We keep the New Covenant such as the Sabbath day and the Passover just as the early Church of God did. This is the Church that Jesus established and in which the apostles Peter, John, and Paul worshiped. After the apostles, the truth began to disappear. Now, in this age, where lawlessness is widespread, the Church of God is leading the true religious reformation by restoring the truth of the early Church to lead humankind to eternal life.
The Church of God
values family happiness
Family is the nest of love and the root of society. The Church of God values the importance of family and makes efforts to promote harmony and happiness in the family. In order to make our home into a small version of the Kingdom of Heaven, we should respect our parents, love our children, share brotherly love, and between husbands and wives love each other as though they are one body. This inspires altruism in our homes, schools, workplaces, and our communities.
The Church of God makes efforts for peace in our neighborhoods, communities, and the world
The planet Earth is a big house, where humankind lives together like one family. Just as God gives humankind the same blessings and love freely, we too share love with others, regardless of nationality, race, gender, language, or culture. By putting these values into practice, we strive for peace, harmony, and the development of our neighborhoods, communities, and countries. In addition to this, we deliver the Good News of salvation for everyone to receive the blessings of the Kingdom of Heaven.
