The Easy Path and the Right Path
We must all face the choice between the easy path and the right path while living in this world. During the Japanese colonial rule over Korea, some people chose to live an easy, comfortable life, but some chose the right path and devoted their whole life to the struggle for their country’s independence. According to their choices, they lived completely different lives and ended up with totally different outcomes; the former were branded as traitors, and the latter were hailed as the Korean independence activists, with their names honored for future generations. It is the same for our life of faith. We have the choice to follow the easy path or the right path. Until now, we have chosen to…
According to My Will and According to Father’s Will
People are under the impression that they can do everything by themselves. In actuality, they can do nothing without God’s help. If God does not give us rain when the farmland is parched and cracked like a turtle’s shell, who on earth can provide such a huge amount of water to all of the mountains and fields? Although a man may have much knowledge, skill and experience in farming, he cannot grow a single crop if it doesn’t rain. Considering this fact, we can realize yet again that our God is truly great because He has created every kind of plant and tree, while simultaneously providing everything they need in order to grow. It seems that we have taken the…
The Tears of Mary
In Matthew, God is described as “our Father” (Mt 6:9). In Galatians, God is referred to as “our Mother” (Gal 4:26). In 2 Corinthians, we are called God’s sons and daughters (2 Co 6:18). When we put all of these words in the Bible together, we can see that we are the children of Heaven and members of the heavenly family who have God as our Father and Mother. Unfortunately, we do not remember this fact because we have been cast down to this earth as a result of committing sin in Heaven. It is very difficult for us to remember what happened in the spiritual world because we are living in a three-dimensional world. The words “our Father and…
The Commemoration Day of the Creator and the Commemoration Day of the Redeemer
You can easily know which country a person belongs to, when you see the kind of days that the person commemorates. If that person celebrates Independence Day on August 15 and observes Hangul Day [Korean Alphabet Day] on October 9, what country is that person from? If someone celebrates Independence Day on July 4, which country does that person belong to? We can easily figure out that the former is Korean and the latter is American. Likewise, we can easily tell what kind of people belong to the Kingdom of God, through the commemoration days God has established. Nowadays, there are numerous churches like the sand on the seashore. We need to find out if they observe the commemoration day…
The Trumpet Sound of Prophecy
The Bible has already predicted how the gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven will make progress and be accomplished. God has written everything in the Bible, including the things that are to take place in this age and the processes that we must pass through until we go to Heaven. When we examine them one by one, we can find God’s predestined will that is wonderful. Then, what prophecy remains to be fulfilled and what should we do now? Father Ahnsahnghong said, “Soldiers move to the sound of the trumpet, and believers move to the sound of prophecy.” Keeping the words of Father deep in mind, we should pay attention to the trumpet sound of prophecy and put God’s laws…
The Meaning of the Day of Atonement
The Sabbath and the Seven Feasts in Three Times hold great significance for the salvation of mankind; they are not simply part of the Old Testament law. God saves the people of Zion who keep the feasts; He calls the people, who made a covenant with Him by sacrifice (worship) at the feasts, His consecrated ones (Isa 33:20–24; Ps 50:1–5). In the last days, God will gather His children who endure hardships in order to keep the feasts. They will be given praise and honor among all the peoples of the earth (Zep 3:14–20). Those who keep the feasts of God, cherishing God’s laws, decrees, and regulations, will receive blessings and glory according to God’s promises in the Bible. Among…
The Passover and the Blood of Christ
The Passover is a joyful feast where we receive the forgiveness of sins and eternal life as well as the promise of being the children of God. On the other hand, however, it is a day to commemorate the death of Christ. Since Christ died for us, sinners, we have been freed from the agony of death and received life. So, the Passover is a feast of joy and sorrow as well. We have been saved through the sacrifice of God who shed His blood, carrying our sins on our behalf. As God’s children, we must not think lightly of God’s saving grace that we have received freely, but we should keep in mind again the meaning of God’s holy…
Seek Me
God told people to “seek me.” To seek God, we must know about Him. Through all the clues from the Bible, we need to find out where God dwells and what truth He brings when He comes to this earth. Only then can we find God and receive Him properly. God has come to this earth, but many churches in the world do not yet know God or seek Him. If the Bible says God dwells in Zion, we must find out what Zion refers to, and if the Bible says God proclaims the truth of the New Covenant in Zion, we must find the One who establishes the New Covenant (Isa 33:20–22; Mic 4:1–2). If the Bible tells us…
God Wants Us to Be Blessed in the End
In our life of faith, we are carrying out many commandments and teachings God has given us. It’s because we believe that every path God leads us on is a path of blessing for us. In the Bible, there are things God commands us to do and there are also things God tells us not to do. When God commands us to do something, we must do it, and when God tells us not to do something, we must not do it. This is the way for us to be blessed, right? We may not fully understand it now, but if we follow God obediently, we can receive all the blessings God has prepared for us. Let’s examine the will…
Commandment and Rebellion
Rebellion generally means an act of disobeying a king’s direction of ruling or his policy and plotting against him. In the spiritual world, rebellion is disobedience to the commandments of God—our King. Those who keep God’s commandments stand on God’s side, and they never rebel against God. That’s why the Bible tells us that the people who stand on God’s side in spiritual warfare in the last days are the “rest of the woman’s offspring” and “those who obey God’s commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus” (Rev 12:17). Now, let’s take some time to understand the relationship between God’s commandments and rebellion correctly and to engrave the importance of God’s decrees, regulations, and laws deep in our hearts.…
The Invisible World and True Faith
Faith is essential to salvation. The Bible clearly states that people without faith cannot be saved. It’s because only those who have faith can obey God’s word and keep the commandments and decrees that God has established for our salvation. God created the visible and invisible worlds. The world of faith is also invisible, so there is no way to know whether our faith is big or small in ordinary times. Through the teachings of the Bible, let’s find out when and how our faith is revealed and what kind of faith we should have. Test and examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith Everyone may have conducted an experiment to test whether a substance is acidic…
The One Who Wants to Wear the Crown Must Bear Its Weight
No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has conceived the Kingdom of Heaven God has prepared for His children. However, the way to Heaven is not a smooth paved way. It would be good if we could go to Heaven easily, without any difficulty. On this path, however, there are big barriers that stop us and obstacles that are beyond our control. It was the same with the members of the early Church, including the apostles, who preached the gospel in obedience to Christ’s command. They walked the path of faith under hardship and persecution; it was not a smooth, easy path. Why did God allow His beloved children to walk the rough path instead of…
The Passover Is the Truth That Saves
The earth may seem spacious to people in the world, but it is just a tiny dot in the vast universe. The Bible tells us that this earth is like a speck of dust on the scales and a drop in a bucket to God (Isa 40:15). God has established a covenant for us, humans, who live on this small earth. All the decrees, laws, and commandments, which have been given by God who runs the great universe, contain God’s will for us to enjoy eternal life and happiness in Heaven. God has restored the New Covenant Passover and allows us to keep it in this age. This is also God’s special providence and blessing. As people of Zion, we…
Come to Heavenly Father and Mother
Some people think that the Bible is a book full of complicated and difficult stories or that it is merely a guide to wisdom for life. However, the Bible is a book that contains the truth about eternal life. To fully understand the teachings in the 66 books of the Bible, we first need to know that God is our Father and Mother. When we read the Bible carefully, we can understand that God is our Father and our Mother and we are Their children—spiritual brothers and sisters. We have been cast down to this earth since our souls sinned in the angelic world. The Bible contains the will of Heavenly Father and Mother who want us to achieve complete…
World Evangelism and Our Mission
Our brothers and sisters in Zion are putting their whole heart and mind into preaching the gospel with the desire to save all seven billion people. The work of salvation—finding our lost heavenly family members—is shaking up the world and the gospel spreading rapidly like the light of seven full days is surprising the whole world, just as Heavenly Father prophesied. At this point in time, let us remind ourselves again of the Bible prophecies about world evangelism and of our God-given mission. The gospel spreading all over the world The gospel of God is spreading rapidly throughout the world according to the prophecies of the Bible. Many people who have been waiting for the water of life, which the…
I Will Give You
God has told us to “be joyful always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances” (1 Th 5:16–18). To give thanks in all circumstances means to be always thankful, no matter what the circumstance—good or bad, easy or difficult. When God tells us to give thanks for everything, there must be a reason we should be thankful. We are always receiving abundant love from God. Everything we have—from our wisdom and talents to our faith in God—actually comes from God. As the people of Zion, we should give thanks and glory to God every day for providing us with everything for our future. What do you have that you did not receive? Whenever I do something, I am reminded…
The Blessings of Preaching
I believe everyone in Zion knows well how important the mission of preaching is and how great the blessings are. What would happen to the world if there were no people who were called and sent by God? There is a book titled Fruitless Fall: The Collapse of the Honey Bee and the Coming Agricultural Crisis by Rowan Jacobsen, an American author. The title itself is very meaningful and thought-provoking. The mission of evangelists in the spiritual world is similar to the role of honeybees that make this earth fruitful. Without gospel preachers, the world would be a place where nobody could expect the fruit of salvation. Let’s think about what a great blessing it is to have God-given authority…
Almighty God and the World of Faith
God wants us to have faith. Faith never comes without knowing God properly. It was the same with the ancestors of faith. Only after understanding God correctly did they start to have true faith. We think that we ourselves believe in God properly. However, if we do not understand God’s almightiness, we will end up confessing our faith with our mouths alone and failing to have faith in our hearts. Through the Bible, let’s learn the faith that is good enough for God to dwell and work in our hearts and keep the true faith. Before and after realizing the Almighty God When God told Gideon to save Israel from the hands of the Midianites, he refused, saying, “How can…
Be the One Who Does Good Deeds
God calls His people the “salt and light of the world.” What we must have to become the salt and light of the world is good deeds and good minds in God’s eyes. The Bible asks us not to conform any longer to the pattern of this world (Ro 12:2), and teaches us to do good deeds as children of heaven. Even those who do not believe in God often say, “You’ll go to heaven if you do good things, and you’ll go to hell if you do bad things.” We must all remember that our good deeds as well as our faith will become an important factor that determines whether we are going to heaven or hell. Those who…
Good Habits and Bad Habits
People say that a habit is second nature. Everyone has their own nature. However, it is their habits that have a huge effect on them. We all have good and bad habits. Good habits are helpful for our life of faith, but bad habits are obstacles to the gospel. That is why God has taught us that we should get rid of our old bad habits and replace them with good habits so that we can be born again and enter the kingdom of heaven. Through the Bible, let us think about good and bad habits and get rid of all our bad habits to be born again. A habit of disobeying God’s word 3,500 years ago, the Israelites came…
