This is to help you meditate day and night on God’s words that revive your soul.
Give Thanks to God
When we walk the path of faith in this spiritual desert, sometimes our hearts are disturbed by the circumstances surrounding us, where we can easily be prone to grumbling and complaining rather than giving thanks. However, God wants us, His children, to live a life of thanksgiving and teaches us to always be thankful, through the Bible. In the Bible, there is a thank offering among many offerings made to God. A thank offering glorifies God and is acceptable to Him like Abel’s sacrifice (Ps 50:23). As believers in God, we should learn to give thanks in any unfavorable or difficult conditions and circumstances. A generation that has forgotten to give thanks One day, a middle-aged woman visited a family…
Prayer Is a Tool for Invoking God’s Power
People become inactive if they run out of energy. It is the same spiritually; we cannot live an energetic and active life of faith when we run out of spiritual strength. That is why God has given us the special times of prayer—the two daily regular prayer times in the morning and in the afternoon and the annual feasts, so that we can fill ourselves up with spiritual energy. God’s people live holy and godly lives, looking forward to the day of God and speed its coming (2 Pe 3:11-12). God has taught us the importance of prayer to help us live a godly and meaningful life of faith every day. Now, let us see what the Bible teaches about…
Come Near to God
We call God “our spiritual Father or Mother,” because we are God’s children. When we understand the hearts of our parents in this world which is a shadow, we will also fathom the hearts of our heavenly Parents in the spiritual world. Now, let’s see what God wants most from us, through the following story. The moment a mother wanted to see most There was a mother who was waiting anxiously for her loving son to return from the battlefield. One day she received a message that her son had been killed in the war. After losing her son, she was in deep grief. She couldn’t even sleep well at night, missing her son so much. She earnestly prayed to…
Let Us Keep the Law of Life
When we look at the life of David, we can see that God’s decrees, regulations and laws were the object of his joy. He loved God’s commandments more than pure gold, saying that the law of God revives the soul and the precepts of God give joy to the heart (Ps 19:7-11). God’s people should take delight in obeying every teaching of God. Everything God has told us to do is for our own spiritual benefit; it comes from the love of God who wants to give us eternal life, salvation and all other blessings. I want each and every one of you brothers and sisters in Zion to love God’s commandments and keep them, as a person after God’s…
Our Future
Everyone wants to know how their future will be. Have you ever thought about what you will look like or how much you will change after 10 years? There is a saying in Korea: “Even rivers and mountains change in 10 years.” When we look around, we can see how much change the flow of time has brought about; high-rise buildings have been built in the area that used to be a wild plain before. It is a surprise to see how the mountains and rivers have changed. How much more surprising and wonderful it will be to see what we will look like in the future—how our lives will change in God? Wisdom to think about the future A…
God Helps
There has been no one who achieved a great work alone without help from others. In the case of the forefathers of faith, too, none of them became great by themselves without someone’s help. We may receive help from men. However, the greatest help comes from God who made and governs all things in the universe. The help of man may lead us to failure or destruction. But God’s help always leads us to success and eternal salvation. Nothing fails if it is done with God’s help. The person whom God helps is the strongest one This is what happened when the Han dynasty was founded in China. After the great unification, the first emperor of the Han dynasty enjoyed…
Spiritual Gravitation
All things created by God are attracted to each other by a force. This force is called “gravity.” There exists an attractive force between people and any two objects—for example, between a pencil and an eraser on the desk and between a book and a computer—even though we cannot feel the force because it is so weak. Newton, one of the greatest scientists, discovered the “law of gravitation”; according to the law of gravitation, the force of gravity between two objects is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them. Newton understood just a little bit of the principles made by God, but God already revealed those principles of…
The Secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven and the Mystery of God
God is a treasure to us who believe in Him, but to those who do not believe He is a stone that causes them to stumble and a rock that makes them fall and He is also a trap and a snare to them. At Jesus’ first coming, there were the people like Thomas who blindly doubted what they did not see with their own eyes, and some people kept doubting even until just before Jesus ascended to heaven from the Mount of Olives; they were present there with a doubtful mind. However, we can also see the disciples like Peter, John and James in the Bible who recognized the light of the glory of Christ and followed Him till…
Trial and Hope
Everyone tends to judge and understand things based on their own experiences. Since they only know what they have experienced, their knowledge is so limited that many of them fail to believe in the prophecies of the Bible. People in the world would not believe or understand the prophecies of the resurrection and transfiguration and the glory that will be given to God’s people in the future, because they have not experienced it. What they have experienced until now is not everything in the world. They should not blindly deny something that they have not experienced; they must accept and believe the true word of God instead of blindly denying it. I hope that our brothers and sisters in Zion…
The Kingdom of Heaven with Only Father and the Kingdom of Heaven with Both Father and Mother
Recently, many people have been asking us about God the Mother after seeing press releases or watching videos which introduce the Church of God. We are also hearing news about people from all around the world who are coming into the way of truth, although they had previously misunderstood the Church of God or did not know about the church fully. A member, who wanted to preach about God the Mother, met with one of his friends and asked, “Do you want to go to Heaven?” Then his friend answered, “Yes, of course, I do.” He asked his friend again, “If you want to go to the Kingdom of Heaven, would you rather be where there is only Father or…
Listen to Whatever Sarah Tells You
3,500 years ago, God descended on Mount Sinai and proclaimed the Ten Commandments with His majestic voice and then engraved the words on stone tablets. All the words of God’s commandments were codified and became the basis of the Old Testament. And everything Jesus said and practiced and all the teachings He gave His disciples, when He came to this earth in the flesh 2,000 years ago, were also recorded in the Bible and became the backbone of the New Testament. We find many events and incidents in the New Testament, which deeply move us who are walking the path of faith today; Peter, John and James followed Jesus faithfully, Jesus gave His most famous sermon to people on the…
God the Father and God the Mother
God has given all mankind an opportunity to hear the gospel, understand it and come to salvation. By the grace of God, the work of world evangelism is being accomplished amazingly, and so many souls around the world repent and return to the arms of God. When people hear the gospel, what amazes them the most is the truth about Mother the heavenly Jerusalem. The doors for the gospel are open wide; all the nations of the world—in Europe, North America, South America, Oceania, Asia and Africa—submit to the truth about Heavenly Mother. It is living proof that people around the world are waiting for salvation from Heavenly Mother so eagerly. Now, let’s study the Biblical teachings about God the…
Endure to the End
When we look back at the Israelites’ 40-year history in the desert, we can see that many of the Israelites dropped out of the journey to Canaan; some fell away after walking through the desert for 20 or 30 years, and others just before entering the land. In this age, we are walking in the desert of faith. I hope that we will all safely enter the heavenly Canaan, without a single person falling behind. Now we are living a life of faith in more favorable situations and circumstances than before. However, our patience seems to decrease in inverse proportion to our improved life conditions. I earnestly ask you, people of Zion, to have patient faith. Let’s find out what…
Desert and the Desert Journey of Faith
The Bible records in detail about the past history from which God’s children, who are living in this age, can learn a lesson of faith and take a warning. The desert journey of the Israelites is not just a past history, but it is a copy and shadow of what is to come and also an example and warning for the spiritual Israelites who walk the path of faith, looking forward to the heavenly Canaan. By looking back at the history of the Israelites who fell into various temptations while walking in the desert for forty years, let us examine ourselves to see if we are walking the path of faith according to God’s will. History of the desert written…
The Lamb’s Book of Life
The Bible teaches us that there is a distinction between God’s people who are qualified to enter the kingdom of heaven and those who are not. The people who practice lawlessness will not enter the kingdom of heaven, but they will all be driven out, no matter how loud they cry out, “Lord, Lord,” and no matter how diligently they believe in Christ and prophesy in His name (Mt 7:21-23; 25:31-46). This scene is similar to that of an immigration checkpoint. To enter a country, everyone has to pass through immigration at the airport. However, the immigration checkpoint has different lines for the citizens of the country or green card holders and foreigners; the former can pass through the immigration…
Rejoice in the Lord
If we carefully examine all things made by God, we are able to realize how much grace God is bestowing on us. Around us there are so many things to be joyful and thankful for—fresh air, water, green pasture, loving people, happiness from a change of weather or season, and so on. So the Bible frequently mentions the virtue of being joyful and thankful, as one of the virtues that Christians must have. At a palace or a castle where a king lived, both in western and eastern countries, a special flag was planted to signify the presence of the king. Rejoicing always as Christians is like a flag that signifies God’s presence in us. On the contrary, if Christians…
Covenant and Faith
Our society is maintained by promises. For example, a bill is just a piece of paper, but because of a promise made among people it has monetary value with which they can buy or sell things. If a child tears up a money bill and throws it away, people will get upset, but if it is a simple piece of paper, they will not care too much about it. That is because it does not have a promise attached to it, while a money bill does. So, a promise is important. There is a promise, or a covenant, between God and humankind as well. If we do not understand the relationship between a covenant and faith in our life of…
God’s Gospel Workers
“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field” Lk 10:2 The children of Zion, who are living in the prophetical age of the Feast of Tabernacles, the season of harvest, are workers in charge of the spiritual harvest. Although we are lacking in many ways, God made us gospel workers and entrusted us with the gospel. In autumn when everyone is busy harvesting, a wise and diligent worker refreshes the spirit of his master, but a sluggard is like vinegar to the teeth of his master and smoke to his eyes (Ps 10:5, 26). Now, let us have time to check what kind of…
Take Care of Others Through the Gospel
I know that our brothers and sisters in Zion are always working hard for the gospel, regardless of hot summer or cold winter weather conditions. God came to this earth to seek and save the lost and preached the gospel. This gospel, which leads human beings to the kingdom of heaven, is the new covenant that we are keeping and preaching now. If we summarize the gospel of the new covenant in one word, we can say that it is the “gospel through which we take care of others.” The Bible likens the relationship between God and His people to the relationship between a shepherd and his sheep. Christ, the good Shepherd, took care of His people, represented as the…
God Repays Everyone According to Their Deeds
Foolish people say in their hearts, “There is no God,” and their hearts are filled with schemes to do wrong (Ps 14:1). However, God inspects everything and repays everyone for what they have done. According to the way of the world as well, everyone is paid back for what they have done. If they give love to others, they will be rewarded for their love someday, and if they do evil, they will be paid back for their evil. Whatever they do, it will always return to them. Our God came to this earth and did the greatest good for us—He loved us and saved our souls. So, in order to repay God for His love, we are putting forth…
