ASEZ University Student Volunteer Group Participated in the 68th UN Civil Society Conference
ASEZ the Church of God University Student Volunteer Group, which is working in and out of campus to create a happy society and a healthy earth, was invited to the 68th UN Civil Society Conference held for three days from August 26. Formerly known as the UN DPI/NGO Conference, it is the biggest annual event for NGOs where more than 700 representatives of civil societies from over 100 countries gather to discuss a variety of topics such as climate change, human rights, and volunteer services through forums, workshops, and exhibitions. We held concerts to deliver the love of God Elohim and help our neighbors in need in the U.S., Peru, Malaysia, and Singapore with the power of music, a universal language. Prepared by the Church of God members, the concerts inspired participants with beautiful melodies, though they were different in size and place. 2019 ASEZ and ASEZ WAO Summer International Volunteer Service and Cultural
Summer vacation is like a thousand pieces of gold to university students and young adult workers. The Church of God young adults dedicate themselves to their school studies on campus and to their works at workplace. However, they wait for the summer vacation, not to simply improve their resume or enjoy their youth, but to help their neighbors in the big world and furthermore preserve the earth, which is home to life. ASEZ Global Summit 2019
From minor traffic violations to heinous crimes, all crimes are committed by humans. To reduce the crime rate and prevent crimes, each individual needs to change. University students from around the world gathered for the ASEZ Global Summit 2019: A Quantum Leap for Change towards Zero Crime, held at the New Jerusalem Temple in Korea on July 15, with aspirations to build a crimeless, peaceful, and safe world by creating change on the campus. Worldwide University Student Leadership Conference 2019
A special event was held for university students who devote themselves to learning in and out of campus, as Christians and intellectuals. The Worldwide University Student Leadership Conference 2019 was held by the Church of God with a goal to provide a progressive and creative vision to future global leaders. A total of 532 university students from 228 universities in Korea and 207 universities in 41 countries such as U.S., Germany, Peru, India, and South Africa attended the conference during vacation. The 75th Overseas Visiting Group
During summer when green leaves were in full bloom, the 75th Overseas Visiting Group visited Korea. The group, whose schedule began on July 10, consisted of more than 250 members from 175 churches in 41 countries. The majority of the members were university students in their 20s with plans and dreams for their future. Their cultures, languages, and races were all different as they came from many countries in all continents, for example, Mongolia and Hong Kong in East Asia, Argentina in South America which is on the opposite side of the earth from Korea, Finland in Northern Europe, and Botswana in inland Africa. Future meets future. Jerome C. Glenn, the CEO of The Millennium Project, visited Korea and participated in the ASEZ Conference held at the New Jerusalem Pangyo Temple on June 26. Under the subject, “Seeking the Role of University Students for a Sustainable Future,” the futurist talked with 530 members of ASEZ the Church of God University Student Volunteer Group. On April 4, when the General Assembly was in full swing, the Arise & Shine Global Bible Seminar 2019 was held at the New Jerusalem Pangyo Temple.
