Words of the Bible

The Bible enables us to be wise for salvation (2 Ti 3:15). Let us learn the true will of God from it.

The Gifts of God

What if we receive numerous good gifts from God every day while living in this world? Whenever we get a gift from God, we will always be happy and grateful as well. In fact, God gives us a gift every moment, every day. However, since we cannot tell if it is a gift, we sometimes fail to be thankful and instead we grumble or complain, so that we cannot give glory to God. A hardship that befalls us is a gift from God, and something joyful is also a gift from God. Our family and neighbors and so many people we meet are all gifts from God. Even a trial we may sometimes encounter is actually a gift from God.…

Prayer for World Peace

Now many lives are being sacrificed in wars and terrorist attacks on one side of the earth, and on the other side of the earth various infectious diseases are emerging and spreading throughout the world. However, even though disasters are so rampant in these days, God protects and comforts us, His children, just as Jesus said, "You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed" (Mt 24:6). We give thanks to God for His grace. Now, the gospel is being preached to the whole world. Even though a disaster occurs in a remote country, we cannot remain indifferent to it anymore. Mother told us to pray for world peace, caring not…

The Tabernacle

1. The Ten Commandments and the tabernacle When Moses received the tablets of stone inscribed with the Ten Commandments on Mount Sinai, God showed him the tabernacle in heaven. As Moses came down from the mountain, he delivered the words of God to the people of Israel. There was a need to build a tabernacle where the tablets of the Ten Commandments would be kept. So Moses called on the people to gather materials to make the tabernacle, such as gold, silver, linen and cotton. The people brought freewill offerings every day, and the materials gathered to build the tabernacle were more than enough for all the work which had to be done, so Moses told them not to bring…

Melchizedek and Christ

The 66 books of the Bible contain many mysteries of God. When we figure out the mysteries one after another, we are able to understand God's long-term plan for our salvation. Among God's mysteries, the greatest mystery is Christ. Only when we realize Christ who is the mystery of God, we are able to receive the blessing of salvation and find all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge hidden in Him (Col 2:2-3). The Bible, which gives us the wisdom leading to salvation, testifies about Christ who is the mystery of God (2 Ti 3:15-17; Jn 5:39). Among the many mysteries of the Bible, let's study the prophecies about Melchizedek so that we can understand Christ who is the source…

The Value of the New Name

Receiving God means believing in His name (Jn 1:12). We, who are in Zion, already know the name of God―the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. We've received the Christ who has come in the new name and become witnesses testifying to the new name, the Savior's name in the age of the Holy Spirit. We pray in the new name and praise the new name; we've been saved by believing in the new name. God's name has great power in the spiritual world. Now, let's consider how great the new name, the Savior's name in the age of the Holy Spirit, is, how valuable the name of His Bride, the new Jerusalem…

What Kind of God Is Your God?

In this harvest age, the work of going to Samaria and the ends of the earth, making disciples of all nations and preaching the gospel to them is now being accomplished quickly according to the prophecy. Consequently, God allows us to spread the gracious fragrance of Zion all the more. Today, many people claim to believe in God, but in actuality they believe in a different god than the God whom the Bible preaches. Nevertheless, they think that they believe in the true God, so they ask the members of Zion who preach the gospel, “What kind of God is your God?” As God’s witnesses, we should let them know why our God is the only true God. God is…

The Honey Bee, the Hidden Keeper of Ecosystem

“If the bees become extinct, humans too will go extinct within four years.” This is a famous quote usually attributed to Albert Einstein. The honey bee is known as a beneficial insect that collects honey. This yellow-and-brown striped insect has a stinger and so it may not be easy for you to come close to it. What is this little creature, that it is closely related to the survival of mankind? Honey bees live in a hexagonal honeycomb. Generally, a colony consists of one queen bee and tens of thousands of other bees, most of which are worker bees that are female. Worker bees do almost all important jobs; they gather food such as honey and pollen, build comb cells,…

How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?

Joseph, who was sold as a slave by his jealous brothers, starts to serve at the house of Potiphar, the captain of the guard in Egypt. God is with Joseph and he prospers. Potiphar sees that, and makes Joseph his attendant; he puts Joseph in charge of his household and entrusts to his care everything he owns. So, God blesses the household of the Egyptian because of Joseph. Joseph is faithfully taking care of his master’s family. One day, however, he faces trouble. Potiphar’s wife takes notice of Joseph and keeps speaking to him. But Joseph refuses, saying, “How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?” After his refusal, Potiphar’s wife gets angry and calls…

Do Not Boast About Tomorrow

When we look around, there are many people who continue to delay coming to God until later, while acknowledging the necessity of believing in God. They usually say, “Now I want to live my life to the fullest. I will have a religion when I get older,” or, “I need to take care of something urgent right now. Let me believe in God when I get some free time.” However, no one can guarantee that tomorrow, which they plan and dream for, will surely come. Such is life. There was once a strong earthquake in Indonesia, which killed over 5,000 people and injured tens of thousands of people. Since the earthquake occurred early in the morning while people were sleeping,…

Through them, let's learn what kind of mindset and faith we should have towards God, so that we can correctly recognize and receive Him and preach the message of salvation boldly to the whole world, saying, "Receive God Elohim who have appeared in this age!" The right given to those who receive God First, let's find out what blessings were given to the people who…

A Stumbling Block to Jews and Foolishness to Gentiles

At the time of the early Church, there was a stumbling block to Jews. Every day they gathered together to plot how to stop the crowd of people who were doing what was a stumbling block to them, how to slander and hinder them from attracting people's attention. What was the stumbling block to the Jews—the thing that they hated the most? It was the preaching of Jesus Christ. God is light, so darkness hates the light (Jn 1:1-14). It is because darkness retreats even when a tiny bit of light shines. What Satan hates the most is revealing God, our Savior in each age: Jehovah in the age of the Father, Jesus Christ in the age of the Son,…

The Mission of Watchmen and Signs of the Present Time

A watchman is a person who keeps watch over something or someone. The mission of a watchman is to keep awake even while people are sleeping and to keep a close eye on things so that he can help people prepare themselves by telling them if there is any sign of an attack from the enemy or of a disaster. God has entrusted the mission of a spiritual watchman to the children of Zion. The mission of a spiritual watchman is to awaken the world with the word of God, whether they listen or not, to help them escape disasters and to lead them to salvation (Eze 3:11, 17-18). Various disasters that are occurring these days are the message of…

Baal & Ashera

1. Baal is a word which indicates ‘master,’ ‘LORD’ Many peoples around the land of Canaan were polytheists. Among many gods, they believed Baal who was called the god of thunder, rain and wealth. Ethbaal king of Tyre was the priest of Baal. His daughter Jezebel was married to the king of Israel not only for the political purpose, but also for the religious one.
