Repent and Return to God
As we walk the path of faith, we always hear God’s teaching on repentance. If we do not understand the true meaning of repentance, we will easily fall into the trap of thinking: “I have…
Read moreThe Heavenly Wedding Banquet
The Bible tells us that everything on this earth is a copy and shadow of what is in heaven (Heb 8:5). As we have a physical body, so we also have a spiritual body—a newly reborn body—which we, God’s children, will be clothed with when we go back to heaven. As we have our physical father and mother, so we have our spiritual Father and Mother who give birth to us and will change our physical body into a spiritual, heavenly body. We can find this fact in God’s providence over the creation. Eternal life given in accordance with nature Our ancestors would say that it’s natural that people should realize the will of Heaven and follow it, and that…
God Opens the Door of Hope
As we live in this world, we may occasionally encounter trials and obstacles. When faced a problem, many people give up or fall into despair, unable to find a solution. When we read the 66 books of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, we can find the fact that whenever God’s people encounter trials or obstacles, God always opens a door of hope for them behind the scenes. Life on this earth is sometimes tough and difficult, but it is all part of our journey to the eternal kingdom of heaven. We will continue to live a truly glorious life every day in heaven where there is no death or pain or sorrow. Such a gracious world has been prepared…
The Day We Stand Before God
The Bible prophesies that each of us will one day stand before God. When our life on this earth comes to an end, the time will come when we must give an account of our deeds and faith before the judgment seat of God (Rev 20:11–15; Ro 14:10; 2 Co 5:10). How joyful will it be if we can give an account to God on that day for what we have done to please God? If we are able to offer an abundance of beautiful gospel fruit to God as a result of carrying out His command to “preach the gospel to Samaria and even to the ends of the earth,” it will truly be an overwhelming and glorious moment…
Jesus’ First and Second Coming
When we look at the state of the church during the time of Jesus, we can understand what will happen to the church in the age of the Holy Spirit. It’s because what happened in the past is a prophetic foreshadowing of what is to take place in this age. The Bible prophecies clearly show us that God is to come in human form to save humanity both at His first coming and His second coming. Nevertheless, ever since the time when Jesus Himself preached the gospel, the church has been persecuted by the world. This is something that all believers, who want to walk the true path of faith, must keep in mind. Let us see through the Bible…
Manna and the Sabbath
When the Israelites were freed from Egypt and headed toward the promised land of Canaan, they had to pass through the vast wilderness. The journey took forty years. The wilderness is a barren desolate place where there is a lack of food and water. In such a place, an estimated three million people and their livestock did not starve for forty years. It was truly a miracle. This was because God rained manna from heaven for them to eat. Manna fell for six days, but none on the seventh day. On the sixth day, they gathered twice as much as usual. During their 40-year journey in the wilderness, God repeated the weekly cycle of manna to teach them a commandment.…
Express Spiritual Truths in Spiritual Words
God is holy and spiritual. Whether He is in spirit or in the flesh, there is no change to this fact. So the word holy is used as an adjective whenever God is being described. It is for the same reason that the Spirit of God is called the Holy Spirit. Everything that has to do with God is spiritual. Yet because people do not express spiritual truths in spiritual words, they commit the foolishness of relying on their own thoughts and experiences to judge what God is accomplishing. So we should be able to discern what belongs to the spiritual world with a spiritual perspective through the teachings of the Bible. Those Who Express Spiritual Truths in Sinful Words…
The Righteous Who Walk in the Ways of God
The Bible teaches us the way of God as a book useful for training in righteousness (2 Ti 3:16). Furthermore, a great deal is written in the Bible concerning those who are righteous and those who are wicked. In the Bible, the wicked refer to those who neither revere God nor obey God’s commands, decrees, and laws. The wicked, who abandon God are to be judged and punished in the last days (2 Th 1:7–9). In the last days, the Age of the Holy Spirit, God Himself came to this earth again to teach mankind the ways of God. He did this so that those who were on the side of the wicked could live as righteous people by taking…
In Search of Heavenly Mother
Wherever the gospel of the new covenant is preached, our spiritual brothers and sisters are returning to Zion one after another. Many people from all over the world, regardless of nationality, ethnicity, or race, come to Zion because they have seen the light of Heavenly Jerusalem Mother and heard Her voice. God has united a mother and a child into one body. From the beginning, a mother's body and the body of her child are connected as one through the umbilical cord. Since they are originally one body, a mother gives unconditional love to her children, not based on any logical or rational judgment. In fact, we can see that whenever children find themselves in a difficult situation, they long…
The Reason We Came to This Earth
When you go to another country, the first person you meet at the airport is a Customs and Border Protection officer. There is something the officer never forgets to ask visitors. They ask them what is the purpose of their visit. Whether you are visiting for a sightseeing or a business trip, you need to give a clear answer for the purpose of your visit in order to pass the screening process and achieve your goal in the country. If someone asks us the reason for coming to this earth, what should we answer? We were the people of heaven. Therefore, there is definitely a reason we have come to this earth. If we live, only chasing worldly desires, not…
The Way to Heaven
It has been a couple of years since everyone was under the cloud of worry due to COVID-19. Despite people’s efforts to stop this unheard-of virus, it has spread throughout the world. As a result, our daily lives has stopped in an instant, and various fields of industry, including national economies, culture, and the arts, have fallen into recession for a long time. In this situation where it is impossible to see the future, many people are confused and have lost their direction and purpose in life. When people are lost and wandering aimlessly, what is needed the most? Those who are wandering need the word of God. Through the teachings of the Bible, let us find out that the…
People Who Preach the Light
The Bible says that God is light. God’s children are called sons of light or children of light (1 Th 5:5; Eph 5:8). Light is an essential element for living things to exist. God began His creation by making light (Ge 1:1–5). Studying the Bible, let us understand what is the light God has shone on us and what mission He has entrusted to us. God Came as the Light in the Dark World All things were created by the will of God (Rev 4:11). When God created light, God embedded His profound providence inside the light He created. Light assists our eyes, helping us recognize and discern various objects. In pitch-black darkness, we cannot discern what is right in…
Secret to Happiness and Heaven
Since the coronavirus pandemic, our lives have drastically changed. On the one hand, people came to realize the importance of daily life; on the other, the number of people has increased who feel frustrated or depressed due to the limitations of communication and activities. As we hear the news of increasing economic hardships and intensifying social conflicts, many people are worried about the gloomy and unfortunate future due to various obstacles in front of them, and they feel depressed. However, there are also people who find greater happiness even in the midst of hardships and difficulties. They are the people who live with the hope of heaven in the truth of the new covenant. Let us, all of the members…
God Is My Strength
The action of making oneself move or the ability to make something else move is considered as the force or strength exerted. Where then does strength come from? Some people say that strength comes from our muscles, and thus they have to make their muscles grow in order for them to become strong. Some say that strong bones are the source of strength. Others say that a balanced diet gives them maximum strength, so they try their best to eat healthy foods and even herbal medicines. If this is how our bodies can gain strength, where does our spiritual strength come from? Our strength does not come from anyone else other than God. When a person encounters a difficult problem…
The Feast of Tabernacles and the Water of Life
The Feast of Tabernacles is celebrated on the fifteenth day of the seventh month in the sacred calendar and it is the last of the seven feasts in three times. The Feast of Tabernacles commemorates the Israelites’ construction of the tabernacle during their journey in the desert. It is a feast during the autumn harvest. In the Old Testament, this feast is also called the Feast of Booths and the Feast of Ingathering. God established various regulations in the Old Testament as a shadow of the New Testament; He let the feasts contain profound secrets of what would happen in the New Testament times. Let us understand God’s will contained in the Feast of Tabernacles and find out who grants…
The Feast of Trumpets
Among the seven feasts in three times, the first of the autumn feasts is the Feast of Trumpets, followed by the Day of Atonement and the Feast of Tabernacles. The representative feast of the autumn feasts is the Feast of Tabernacles. At the Feast of Trumpets, the Israelites blew the trumpets; they purified their hearts according to the regulations for the feast, and had time for repentance until the Day of Atonement. Trumpets are musical instruments that add strength and vitality to a melody; they are used for various purposes, such as a bugle call announcing the morning and an alarm signaling war. For the Feast of Trumpets, they were used to announce the upcoming Day of Atonement and to…
The Day of Pentecost
The Day of Pentecost in the New Testament is called the “Feast of Weeks” in the Old Testament. After Jesus’ resurrection and ascension 2,000 years ago, God poured out the power of the Holy Spirit upon His people on the Day of Pentecost, so they could powerfully preach the gospel of the kingdom and testify about Jesus Christ to all nations. Christ proclaimed the mission of world evangelism on Ascension Day, but it was the Day of Pentecost that ignited the fire of world evangelism. The Holy Spirit that was poured out at Pentecost became the driving force for the growth of the gospel in the early Church. The disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit and boldly preached Christ.…
The Meaning of Ascension Day
Ascension Day commemorates Jesus’ ascension into Heaven. This day gives us the hope of being changed and ascending like Christ. Before Jesus ascended to Heaven, He commanded His disciples to lead all people in the world to salvation. In obedience to this holy command, the saints of the early Church prayed earnestly for ten days starting from Ascension Day, and they began to preach the gospel to the whole world after receiving the former rain of the Holy Spirit. The mission that we, who are living in the age of the Holy Spirit, must complete is the same—world evangelism. Let us reflect upon the glory and blessing that God has promised through Ascension Day and discover how to complete the…
The Feast of Unleavened Bread
The Feast of Unleavened Bread is celebrated the day after the Passover. In the New Testament, it is also known as a feast of passion commemorating the Crucifixion. The Feast of Unleavened Bread is associated with agony and pain—the suffering of Christ in the New Testament as well as the affliction of the Israelites in the Old Testament. As the name implies, it is the feast to eat unleavened bread—bread made without yeast—which represents suffering. In the Old Testament, the ceremony of the Feast of Unleavened Bread was celebrated by eating unleavened bread for seven days; in the New Testament, we participate in Christ’s suffering by fasting. God appointed this feast of suffering as a command for us to keep.…
Resurrection Day
Jesus’ resurrection, which took place 2,000 years ago, is a very important event that is essential for every believer’s life of faith. It is natural for people to think that everything ends in death. However, contrary to their thought, Christ showed that we would enjoy eternal life and happiness in Heaven with God, through His resurrection from the dead. On the Resurrection Day, the day Christ came back to life, we commemorate the power of God who broke the chains of death. As the people of Zion, let us study the origin and meaning of the Resurrection Day and march toward Heaven with hope for the resurrection. The Origin of the Resurrection Day God established the seven feasts in three…
