World Mission Society Church of God Signs MOU With E-Cycle Governance
On June 11, the Church of God signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with E-Cycle Governance to promote resource circulation for waste electrical and electronic equipment. E-Cycle Governance is a cooperative association that enables electrical and electronic equipment companies to jointly fulfill their obligations to collect and recycle end-of-life products. It is a nonprofit public-interest organization authorized by the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment. Operating and managing more than 200 collection depots and approximately 50 recycling centers across Korea, it collects and recycles over 400,000 metric tons of e-waste each year, contributing to resource circulation and carbon neutrality. Dedication Worship Services for the Uiwang and Seongnam Jungang Churches
On June 6, dedication services for the Church of God in Uiwang and the Church of God in Jungang, Seongnam were held in conjunction with the Sabbath worship services. Following the blessing of the Holy Spirit bestowed at Pentecost in May, the members of both churches attended the services with hearts overflowing with gratitude and joy as they celebrated the dedication of their new church buildings. On May 14, the Ascension Day Service was held simultaneously at more than 7,800 Churches of God worldwide. At the entrance of a blood donation bus, Sarang-i, the official mascot of the Worldwide Blood Drive to Give Life Through the Love of the Passover, welcomed participants as they prepared to donate blood. With its adorable gestures and friendly appearance, the mascot helped ease participants’ nerves and brought smiles to their faces, while also drawing the attention of citizens and raising awareness of the importance of blood donation. Fifteen churches in the Gyeonggi Southeast Region of the Church of God received a total of 18 Gyeonggi Provincial Council Speaker’s Awards in recognition of their contribution to community development and the well-being of citizens. The churches were recognized for their wide range of volunteer activities, including street cleanups, blood drives, visits to public institutions, and disaster recovery efforts. Dedication Services Held for the Manaus and Brasília Churches in Brazil
Dedication services were held consecutively in Brazil, the largest country in South America, on April 18 and 21. The services were held for the Church of God in Manaus, Amazonas State, and the Church of God in Brasília, where Brazil’s capital is located. Held in conjunction with the Sabbath morning worship and the Third Day worship, respectively, the dedication services took place amid the congratulations and warm welcome of members, citizens, and local leaders. ASEZ and ASEZ WAO Members From the Gyeonggi Southeast Region Clean the Area Around the Namhan River in Yeoju
On April 19, about 200 members of ASEZ, the World Mission Society Church of God University Student Volunteer Group, and ASEZ WAO, the World Mission Society Church of God Young Adult Worker Volunteer Group, from the Gyeonggi Southeast Region carried out a cleanup around the Namhan River in Yeoju. Originating in Taebaek, Gangwon Province, the Namhan River flows through Korea’s central inland region and plays an important role in the Han River watershed, which empties into the Yellow Sea. The river also forms a complex ecosystem where riverside wetlands, sandbars, and tributaries coexist. University students and young working adults joined forces to collect plastic waste, protecting the Namhan River ecosystem, contributing to carbon neutrality, and raising environmental awareness among citizens.…

On March 22, World Water Day, ASEZ WAO (Church of God Young Adult Worker Volunteer Group) carried out the 8th ASEZ WAO Street Campaign. Fifty ASEZ WAO activists conducted campaigns to promote the preservation of water resources and marine ecosystems at Kant’s Walking Trail along Yangjaecheon Stream in Seocho-gu, Seoul, and at Mud Square of Daecheon Beach in Boryeong. “Activists” refers to selected ASEZ WAO members who receive professional environmental education and carry out environmental activities. The campaigns in both regions were held for citizens and tourists.
